Kids in Play - Playroom Befriender

Overview
To befriend children who comes into the playroom.
Volunteers will manage the playroom at Prison Link Complex Changi (PLCC), befriending pre-school to primary school children aged 5-13 years old who goes to the playroom while waiting to visit their incarcerated parent. Volunteer must be able to do simple craft activities with children and engage them in story telling.
Prior experience with children is preferred. Please also note that we are only taking in female volunteers.
Minimum Requirement:
Twice a month
Tues - Saturday, 1pm-4pm
Minimum age:
18 years old and above
Singaporean / PR
*There will be a screening and mandatory 1-day training session provided

About Organisation
Kids In Play works with children from 5 to 18 years of age who face parental incarceration. Partnering closely with relevant social services, we provide professional support to the families of incarcerated parents, journeying with them during the difficult period of separation.
